• See also: Ancient Chinese books for Chinese books published before 1911.

• Chinese tsumego books tend to be a bit ambiguous when stating their problem requirements. For example, a problem statement "黑棋怎么下杀死白棋", directly translated as "How should Black play to kill White?", may allow ko as a solution. Therefore, just find the best possible solution to the problem. On the other hand, if they want to be precise about killing unconditionally, they will use terms like 净杀 (for living unconditionally, 净活).

  • Mountolive:I have also had some luck going to local Chinese bookstores in the U.S. and checking for go books. Sometimes you will find nothing, but occasionally you will find some treasures at a very good price.
