This is a few variations considered for White 94 in TeachingGame67 based on White playing D in the game

[Diagram]
White 94 Move d

JoeSeki: If White cuts first, then Black ataris at Black 1, If White pulls back, Black cuts off his escape route. And a very nice squeeze appears for Black when he pulls back at 5. White can't get out and gets wrapped up. Black will be able to connect his stone and only have to worry about the 2 in the middle, but Now white is much weaker in this fight.

There are other variatioins of the squeeze, but Black can handle them all, and White ends up running in the middle.
