Go Super Books

There were two series of the same name published by the Nihon Ki-in. The first started in 1977, the second in 2000.

All with pro authors except for #23 and #37. There were 50 titles in all.

Renowned Volumes from Go Super Books

Lessons in the Fundamentals of Go, known in Japan as Ama to Puro, is best-selling of all these books with Japanese sales in six figures.

Some of the more celebrated volumes were:

• The Nadare Joseki by Fujisawa Hideyuki
• The Magic Sword Joseki by Hasegawa Akira
• Pre-joseki Study (Joseki Izen) by Ishida Yoshio
• The Modern Taisha Joseki by Yamabe Toshiro

Translations into English

Five books of the series were translated into English and published by Ishi Press:
