Maeda Nobuaki (前田 陳爾 Maeda Nobuaki, 1907-1975) was a Nihon Ki-in pro, 9 dan in 1963. Maeda was a disciple of Shusai. Along with Kada Katsuji and Hashimoto Utaro, one of the great tsumego composers.

His pupils were Kudo Norio, Oeda Yusuke, Shioiri Itsuzo, Nagahara Yoshiaki, and Morikawa Masao.

Maeda Nobuaki was famous for his tsumego problems — he composed one a day for 40 years. Many collections of problems he composed have been published. A famous series of three volumes was published in 1965.

Maeda Nobuaki was also alleged to have found the move that turned a game against Go Seigen in Shusai’s favour during a recess.
