Blind Spot
A blind spot is a point where people usually do not consider, but may be the only correct way of playing in a particular situation. Possible blind spots may involve the innocuous-looking squeeze, self-filling moves, empty triangles, and unexpected shortage of liberties.
Sometimes the blind spot is the solution to life and death problems.

This is problem 6 in the elementary level problems of Liping Huang's Problem Series Volume 1, the thin orange softcover book published by Slate and Shell.
