Solution 1

[Diagram]
Placement on the second line.

The simpler solution would be a placement on the second line. If white captures with W4, then B5 threatens to capture three stones.

Variation.

If W2 simply captures the two Black stones, then B3 cuts and captures two White stones.

Solution 2

[Diagram]
Placement on the first line.

The placement at the first line also works, but B3 and B5 are probably a blind spot.

[Diagram]
Variation.

If W2 simply captures the two Black stones, Black can simply set up a snapback with B3 and B5.

Failure.

B3 is incorrect. Although B5 is a ploy to reduce the eye in sente, but W6 answers correctly and lives.

B9 and W10 are miai.

Other variations

Atari.

The atari at 1 is a mistake.

Black makes a throw-in at B5, but White occupies the vital point of the bulky five with W6 and lives.
