Tang Yi

Tang Yi (b. 22 Jan 1988) is a Chinese female professional 5-dan from Shanghai.

As of 2023-12-22, she is the #13 ranked female in the world and #312 overall, and #7 female in China.

TANG YI WINS CHINESE BEST WOMAN TOURNAMENT: Tang Yi 2P (l), who was still in her teens, defeated Ye Gui 5P 2-1 to take the title of Best Woman Go Player on May 21st 2007. The title is also known as the Women's Weiqi Championship. On September 25th 2007 she won also the National Women Individual Championship.

In 2009 Tang Yi won the 3rd Female Xinren Wang, defeating 2-0 Song Ronghui and again the National Women Individual.
