    Keywords: Tournament

Chinese blitz tournament created in 2003.

Name and prizes

It is sometimes called the Qiwang, but is not to be confused with the defunct Qiwang last held in 2002, which is its predecessor tournament. Go to Everyone! calls it by this name.

Wikipedia calls it the Weifu Fangkai. This is another reduction of its full name 威孚房开杯棋王争霸赛, Wēif Fngkāi Bēi Qwng Zhēngbsi. As you can see, Qiwang is also in the complete title. 杯 (Bēi) means "Cup".

The prizes are 100,000 yuan for the winner and 50,000 for the runner up.

Results

As of the 15th edition, it has never been won by the same person twice.

It was not held in 2020.

As of November 2021, the 16th edition is being held. The quarterfinalists are Peng Liyao (2012 winner), Li Qincheng, Yang Kaiwen, Yi Lingtao, Xie Erhao, Tong Mengcheng, Ding Hao and Mi Yuting (2016 and '19 runner up).
