Three Crows
Three Crows (三羽烏) can refer to a Japanese naming convention given to three prominent players of a generation and to a go position.
1) A recurring Japanese name for a group of three prominent, perhaps rival, players in a generation. Some examples of past Three Crows, in chronological order, are:
- Fujisawa Kuranosuke, Takagawa Kaku and Tanaka Fujio. (When Tanaka died young, he was replaced by Sakata Eio.)
- Apres Guerre 3 Crows: Fujisawa Hideyuki, Suzuki Keizo and Yamabe Toshiro. (When Suzuki died young, he was replaced by Kajiwara Takeo.)
