38 Basic Joseki
38 Basic Joseki, by Kosugi Kiyoshi and James Davies, is the second volume of the Elementary Go Series, first published by the Ishi Press 1973, and republished by Kiseido.
The book covers the common lines of 38 joseki that are foundational to single digit kyu players. All of these joseki should be familiar. Variations include:
- the tenuki variation of the 3-4 Point High Approach Inside Contact joseki.
- the 3-3 point invasion under the 4-4 point.
- the 3-4 point attachment under the 4-4 point.
