Yuki Satoshi
Yuki Satoshi (結城聡), born 1972, is a Kansai Ki-in professional 9-dan Go player. Pupil of Sato Sunao. Professional shodan in 1984, 9 dan since 1997. He challenged several times for major titles (four times for the Gosei and once for the Kisei), the first major title he won, the 25th Kakusei in 2003, was discontinued thereafter. Several times winner of the Kansai Ki-in 1st place Championship. He won the 18th Shinjin O in 1993, the 14th Ryusei in 2005, 5 NHK Cups in 6 years starting from 2009, the 36th Tengen in 2010 and Judan in 2013, beating Iyama Yuta with 3-2 score.
In 2009-01-08 Yuki reached 900 wins; there are very few players of the Kansai Ki-in to do it (view the list of the players with almost 900 wins). View also Yuki's overal carreer record till 2007-12-31.
In 2011-04-13 Yuki reached 1,000 wins; he is the third player of the Kansai Ki-in to do it (Honda Kunihisa won 1,062 games and Hashimoto Shoji 1,037). More notably, Yuki is much younger than other Japanese players to reach 1000 wins. Previously the record was Cho Chikun at age 43.
In January 2022, he reached 1,300 wins as the youngest player ever achieving the mark.
