In Go, the sequence of moves is important. Often different ordering of moves will lead to different results.

In the endgame one thinks about various local sequences, mostly under the assumption that they are independent options that don't affect more than one area (see though endgame coupling). There is a question where to set an end to a given sequence. This point is discussed at stable follower.
