Strong move

A tactical move which will give a large benefit, if successful.

The strongest move gives the best result locally, but may not be the best move globally.

To be strong a move must be correct. If the move is not correct, it is an overplay.

Jared: Many players 4kyu - 1dan, like myself, try to play the strongest moves they can find, but unfortunately often end up with overplay.

Strong player

A player with a high rank; professional players are often referred to as strong, and a strong amateur is one of a high amateur dan ranking.
