Shirae Haruhiko

Shirae Haruhiko (白江 治彦, born 1938) is a Nihon Ki-in professional Go player.

Shirae, who reached 8-dan, is an innovator in the use of the sixth line in fuseki. As a non-threatening professional for amateur use, he tends to appear on book covers in a sports jacket, smoking a pipe. Shirae has taken over the role of the late Kageyama Toshiro as an author oriented towards teaching amateurs about amateur go.
