Japanese professional tournament, sponsored by the namesake Tokyo real estate company St. Grande W.

It's a sixteen player, four round, two day Swiss system tournament held from 2018. The first prize is 2,000,000 yen, which is roughly $17,500.

Entry is restricted to Nihon Ki-in players 31-60 years old, who have never won a big seven title, nor the Ryusei, the Agon Cup or the SGW Cup itself. "The full title of the event describes it as a Golden Mean (chuyo) Tournament, which is just a posh (Confucian) way of saying it's for the middle-ranked players, or the also-rans." (quote from JF)

See [ext] John Fairbairn's description for more information.

The 1st (2018) edition was won by Rin Kanketsu, followed by Anzai Nobuaki.

The 2nd (2019) was won by Ko Iso, followed by Mimura Tomoyasu.

The 3rd (2020) was won by Kanazawa Hideo, followed by Kim Sujun.

The 4th (2021) was won by Han Zenki, followed by Okuda Aya, who is the only woman to have been runner up.

In all cases the winner was unbeaten and the runner up had a 3-1 score.
