Yahoo

Yahoo! (The search engine/portal) used to run a little Go Server of their own. Although accessible, it was not well loved. Many people compared it to Hell (hence "Yahell"). Quite a few players had taken to cheating on the server.

The server used an Elo based rating system, but it was considered that a sizeable amount of ratings were unreliable due to sandbagging.

All in all, "Yahoo! Go" got a collective thumbs down from the serious Go community.
