ilan: I think the best definition of "intuition" is the ability to understand the word "intuition". This highlights the impossible task of understanding the thinking process.

Davou: I think its important to distinguish intuition from what is commonly assumed about it. A moment of intuitive insight is not a product of magic, but instead a faculty of the mind to immediately access, evaluate and respond to a situation due to previous exposure. The mind eventually wires itself to respond to situations and problems it frequently encounters (think of a master guitarist's fingering ability versus a beginers). Having already evaluated the problem before, this 'evaluative' requirement is removed and the mind only need recognize and react; rather than recognize, evaluate and then react.
