George Caplan
I am a go player. It seems silly to say that here, but in fact, that is how I think of myself.
I am many other things, Father, Husband, Son. I have a profession, but mostly, I am a go player.
Unfortunately, that does not mean I am any good at this game, it simply describes the place of go in my life. I hope I can make some useful contributions to this group.
Latest go news for me, is an increase in interest in go from my 7 year old daughter, she is now playing on KGS.
Gregory Lefler - It is hard for me to believe that Greg's name does not appear in Sensei's Library. Greg passed away last week. (August 2005) In his too brief four years in the U.S. Go community Greg turned the Empty Sky Go Club into a force to be reckoned with at every go tournament on the East Coast north of the Carolinas. He was active in AGA national matters, culminating in Directing last years U.S. Go Congress in Rochester NY. I have been to many Congresses, and Rochester was my favorite - everyone had a great time. He will be missed, but not forgotten.
