He qualified into the 1st Bailing Cup in 2012, reaching at least the second round. He beat Lian Xiao in the preliminaries, who has risen to become an internationally top professional. He also beat Seto Taiki, who is now firmly competitive (albeit not outstanding) in Japan.

More recently, he played in the 1st GBA Cup in 2021, losing in the first round to Shi Yue.
