Yomiuri Shimbun

Yomiuri Shimbun ( English language edition) is a leading Japanese daily newspaper, heavily involved in twentieth and twenty-first century Go through sponsorship. Sponsor of the Kisei title match since 1976.

Began publishing game records in the newspaper in 1885. By 1910, there were more than a dozen newspapers with regular Go columns.
