American Go E-Journal
The American Go E-Journal is a bi-weekly email newsletter produced by the American Go Association (which has now ceased to publish the American Go Journal).
As of July 2011, the E-Journal has more than 13,000 subscribers. It is available as a weekly e-mail or an RSS feed. The E-Journal contains U.S. and World Go News, articles, and reviews. You can sign up for the E-Journal on the AGA website at http://www.usgo.org/e-journal.asp, which also includes links to issues from Nov 2008 to the present (Feb 2021). Archives of earlier material are available at https://www.usgo.org/american-go-e-journal-archive (March 15, 2004 to December 22, 2008) and https://web.archive.org/web/20100301042911/http://hilltopgo.com/agej/ (2000-2006).
The "Members' Edition" is available by subscription ($20/yr) or free to members of the American Go Association and affiliated organizations. Each weekly issue contains professionally commented game records in SGF format as well as lessons and problems in PDF format. An annual "Best of" AGA Yearbook, [published in PDF format annually as of 2011, is only available to American Go Association Members. The Yearbook contains various articles as well as a CD-ROM with all the E-Journals and SGF/PDF files from the year.
Starting in Summer 2007, it also contains news from Europe - soon averaging 5 articles a week, mostly by their main correspondent Peter Dijkema, sometimes covering up to a dozen events. This was the major source of news from Europe until the same author took over the news section of EuroGoTV in November 2009. By 2010 readership has doubled over the last five years.
BruceWayne: How does one attain the attachments from the archived journals?
Spectrums: It says that you cannot get the attachments from the archives; but by rather buying the Yearly Yearbook from the AGA.
