Winning Ways is a four volume work, as of March 2003, by Elwyn Berlekamp, John Conway, and Richard Guy on combinatorial game theory (CGT), with many examples of applications to games. It is sometimes called “WW”[1] for short (where it is clear in context).

Little or no Go content. This is a basic reference for Combinatorial Game Theory, along with On Numbers and Games.

Notes

[1] “WW” has to be coded as “!WW” or as a link: “[WW]”, since “WW” is a special code for a marked white stone: “white+circle”.
