Qualified in 2018, 2p in 2019, 3p in 2020, 4p in 2021. ^[1]

Moon came to widespread attention in 2020, when he won the 7th GLOBIS Cup U-20 Global Go Championship, beating Li Weiqing, Liao Yuanhe and Xie Ke.

In 2021, he was the subject of a review video by Baduk Doctor, who described him as "the future of Korean baduk".

In 2023, he won the 4th Leebong Cup.
