The only female player to reach the finals was prodigy and genius girl Kim Eunji 9p in the 12th edition, 2024. But she had an upset loss to Cho Sangyeon (younger), then 1p, now 4p.
Kim Eunji reached the final again in the 13th edition, 2025. The defending champion Cho Sangyeon (younger), who had risen to 4p in a year, was eliminated in the semifinals by Jeong Junwoo? 3p. This time, she beat Jeong Junwoo? in the finals 21 (it had reverted to best-of-three). Thus Kim Eunji is the first, and so far only, female to win this title.
