Konishi Kazuko

Konishi Kazuko (小西 和子, born October 28, 1972) is a professional Go player in the Kansai Ki-in. Pupil of Mizuno Hiroshi. She reached professional shodan in August 1989, 8 dan since 2004.

Major achievements

• Runner up in the 19th Women's Kakusei, lost to Kobayashi Chizu (1997)
• Runner up in the 7th and 8th Female Strongest tournament (2005, 2006)
• Winner of the 5th Kansai Ladies' Tournament (2006)
• Winner of the 2nd Teikei Cup Female Legends (2022)
