The hane is no solution either. Black plays 2 at the vital point, then avoids complications and plays atari at 4. Black 4 at 5 is dangerous. Black 2 at 3 more or less reverts to the solution. More explanation will follow. Please review.

Reuven: What's the anwser to wK18 after wN18 bL18 wO18 BO16?
Dieter: Could you restate the question in a diagram or, if you don't know how to do that, give us a clue to both the position and the order of your algebraic notation ? I failed to understand the question.
Dieter: It's a very tough question. I think in the next diagram may be the answer. Still thinking.
Or maybe it is just like this ...
Reuven - Yup, it's what I meant... ^^* ;Is this note - "The hane is no solution either. Black plays 2 at the vital point, then avoids complications and plays atari at 4. Black 4 at 5 is dangerous. Black 2 at 3 more or less reverts to the solution. More explanation will follow. Please review." takken from the book? any chance that it's wrong and the anwser's in it?
Dieter: You're right. I forgot what I wrote earlier. So the second failure diagram is wrong: Black can't "avoid" complications.
