Eom Dong-geon KBA

Eom Dong-geon (or Eom Dong-gun, Yeom Dongkoon, Im Dongkyeon; Hangul: 엄동건, Hanja: 嚴動虔, b. 9 June 2000) is a Korean 3-dan professional.

Family and coaches

Eom Dong-geon is the son of Eom Dae-seop and Kim Su-ji, and he has an older sister.

He trained to become a professional at the Chungam Baduk Dojang under Kim Daeyong, 6p. His favorite players are Choi Gyu-byeong 9p and Kim Dae-yong 6-dan.

Go career

As an amateur, he won the 2022 Mungyeong Sae Cultivation Ama Strongest Division and the 2018 Noodle Mountain Cup.

In April 2024, he beat the Japanese girl prodigy Nakamura Sumire (3p) 2–0, both by resignation, in the 5th Leebong Cup (Lee Bung-bae) quarterfinals.
