In a nutshell: born in 1969, read the Lasker book as a kid (bad book but it got me interested), read some of the Elementary Go Series in college, finally was able to play when I discovered IGS and NNGS in 1997 and quickly progressed to AGA 5k before stalling out, now picking up the game again after a few years away.
