Toya Meijin

Toya Meijin (塔矢名人 Tōya Meijin) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Hikaru no Go. Toya's real name is Koyo Toya (塔矢行洋 Tōya Kōyō); "Meijin" is a title Toya recieved for defeating the best Go players in Japan. Other titles he earned were Tengen, Gosei, Oza, and Judan.

Toya Meijin is the father of Akira Toya, a budding teenage Go player. Toya Meijin is also the husband of Akiko Toya.
