AI doesn't like leaving the cut at a. B9 loses about 1 point says KataGo. When White doesn't but approaches with W10, the game is level again.

B1 pincers. W6 prefers for a specific measure, combining W8 and W10

KataGo thinks after B5 White should cut at a. After W6 the lower right becomes hot. An alternative for B8 is b. An interesting variation is W10 at c:

Variation

KataGo prefers this variation. Instead of W7 at B8, it ataris from the other side to form a bamboo joint, then forces again at W9. After B10, White attacks at a. Notice the bizarre double empty triangle at black+circle.

Using a driving tesuji of sorts, W8 makes a hanging connection in sente so that next W10 can cut.

KataGo thinks that this is a forced sequence.

The pattern continues in a one way street.

Not accordintg to KataGo: W2 can be at W6. For W8 KataGo wants to connect:

After W10 Katago thinks the ladder at b is almost equivalent with the cut at ''a'.

Finally KataGo thinks both players could mix in a. If W8 then B9 continues the fighting. If W8 at B9 then B9 at W8.
