Shiratori Sumiko
Shiratori Sumiko (白鳥 澄子, b. 1919 - d. Nov 10th, 2022 at Age 103) was a female Nihon Ki-in professional, 4 dan in 1981. Pupil of Masubuchi Tatsuko. She seems to hold the record of the longest lived professional Go player, beating Go Seigen's previous record of 100.
Promoted to 5 dan on her retirement in 1988, 6 dan posthumously. Received the Kido Prize for Women in 1974, Kido Prize Women's Special Merit in 1981 and Okura Prize in 2007. Also known as Kimura Sumiko (木村澄子) after marriage, later returning to her born family name.
