Miny

    Keywords: EndGame

A miny is an infinitesimal in combinatorial game theory. In go terms, it is sente for Black. It is negative, favoring White, because White can win it by playing the reverse sente if she plays first or by answering the sente if Black plays first. It has an atomic weight of 0. The opposite of a miny is a tiny. (For a fuller explanation, see tiny.)

The CGT notation for a miny is a minus-sign with a subscript: for any game ``G``, miny-``G`` is written as “``-_G``“ and defined by `` -_G = {G|0" || "0}``.

Example: In chilled go, this is a miny.
