I've been on another 5 year hiatus from Go, but I'm back in the game and hope to start contributing here again. My website (linked above) describes some of the adventures I've been having instead of playing Go like I should have been. :-)
Old user page:
I am a student of Computer Science and Linguistics at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. I'm 12k* on NNGS. I've played Go off and on for 5 years now, but I've only recently made a concerted effort to improve my strength.
I'm working on a simple computer go program for my semester project (and maybe beyond), so I'm very interested in computational aspects of Go.
Matt Noonan: Sorry for the intrusion to your homepage, but I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about the Go scene in Ithaca. I am thinking about studying for my Ph.D. at Cornell starting in the fall. Thanks!
jsha: No worries, my homepage is your homepage. I've replied by email, but the short answer, for any lurkers, is that there is a small club meeting Friday evenings at 5:00 in Willard Straight Hall.
