I'm learning go for the third time in 30 years. The first two times I learnt the rules (of course) but couldn't "get" tactics or, especially, strategy. This time, by having dan-level teachers, by reading volumes from the Elementary Go Series and other books, by playing more (over the board and on KGS), and by practising tsumego problems, I'm starting to "get" it for the first time. SL is a great resource.
After three years occasional play I have reached about 5kyu (Australian), but progress is slow, concentration is a problem, reading is poor, errors are frequent,... But the important thing is that I still, mostly, enjoy playing.

Question: Is Go harder to learn if you're over 50 when you start?
