Brisbane Go Club
The Brisbane Go Club - in Queensland, Australia - is a member of the Australian Go Association.
(As of 2017) The club meets weekly at 6pm Tuesday evenings at Comics Plus at 478 Ipswich Road, Annerley. There are also monthly meetings at the Links Hope Golf Club (last Sunday of the month).
Newcomers are welcomed and beginners are offered lessons. Members range in strength from beginner to 6 dan with many around 1 dan.
The Club organises the Queensland Go Championship in March and the Brisbane Christmas Pairs in December each year. The Toyota Denso Cup was a biannual tournament also organised by the Club, first held in Brisbane in 2002, followed by successful events in January 2004, January 2006 and January 2008, and then dying when the global sponsor fell over. The Club hosted the Australian Championships in 2008 and will be doing so again in 2012.
As of 2016, the President was Allan Hunt, with the ongoing support from Horatio Davis and Vice-President Mirjam Uher.
