GoAhead

GoAhead is a Go playing engine for Atari ST. Interested persons can run it with an emulator on a Win or Mac machine. It is relatively strong, having beaten Many Faces of Go on the Computer Go Ladder.

It seems to be quite outdated, but nevertheless interesting in that its GUI (in German) is highly interactive. For instance, the libraries about shapes, connections and josekis can be edited from within the GUI.

Author of the program is Peter Woitke from Berlin. He currently works on a more portable program called Suzie, along with computer chess programmer Chrilly Doninger.
