Gansheng Shi
Gansheng (William) Shi (born 1993 or 1994) is one of the first two AGA professionals, having qualified in the 2012 professional certification tournament, along with Andy Liu. Located in Toronto, Canada, he is also one of the only two Canadian AGA certified professional players. He is currently a Professional 1-Dan.
In 2008 and 2009, he was the Redmond Champion for the senior division.
In 2011, he was second in the Strong Players Open?.
He participated in a 10 game match with other Western professionals against Lee Sedol for Go9Dan.com.
In 2014, he played in the Globis Cup, winning by 3.5 against Joanne Missingham and losing by resignation twice against Lin Junyan.
In 2016, he represented the AGA in the Limin Cup for U-20 Professionals.
He is also a lecturer/teacher at various events including the American Go Congress and the Latin America Go Congress.
