I cannot seem to find this position on the wiki with Black to play. Can Black kill, or at least force a ko for life?

Inside hane looks strongest, although blocking to the right of may be slightly better than with the normal in a tewari analysis.

fractic: Black can make a ko like so:
The - exchange doesn't really change much.
The inside hane is not a good idea and white can live easily.

If stands up (point to right of ), W lives uncomfortably, in ko. The ko doesn't carry the large burden normally required of Black in this starting position.

Ah you're right. But black has some nasty aji in that shape. Especially if white plays before .

For some reason this is very common in games I play, and I have this sinking suspicion that when white lives it's because black makes a mistake...
