People page or homepage? or both?

Why are editors removing first person speech from a Homepage? I thought that editing other people's Homepages was frowned upon...
If it's because JonDiamond is a famous player, why not leave the People keyword there?

It seems that Jon Diamond himself edited the page on 18th November 2008, inserting personal pronouns among other changes. I suggest that we should restore those pronouns, unless someone has a compelling reason not to do so.

Sensitivity to judging each case on its merits

I agree with xela that reverting the pronouns changes seems sensible.
This and a few other edits in the last couple of days suggests to me we need to be aware of the special case of editing pages about players who are still alive, and may edit on SL. Allow them latitude to have:
- 1. Both their own homepage with their own opinions separate from a more widely edited personal bio type page.
- (We have PageType tags for HomePage and People.)
- 2. Alias pointing one at the other.
- 3. Either one or the other, and respect their wish to have others comment on their page, or not.
- 4. Neither.
- ( I see this as unlikely, but if requested, it would seem a reasonable thing to seriously consider. An exception to be decided on a case-by-case basis rather than a policy decision I think.)
A large dose of giving weight to their preference would appear to be paramount in my mind.

This would no longer be a problem if we had namespaces, eg: User:JonDiamond and JonDiamond
