Dieter: limits (2008-04-11 19:32) [#4600]

I'm trying to limit myself to 1 move per board of 10, i.e. 1 every five maximum.

Andy Pierce: This is good idea. We should figure out how many players are still actively playing for each side though. I try to do one move in 5 as well, but suspect that we don't actually have 5 active black players anymore.

I try not to make two moves quickly after each other. But when it's simple moves like retaking a ko you might just aswell make it to keep the game going.

How about as a general guideline: make no more than one move in five for your side OR one move per day, whichever comes first?

I sometimes make two moves per board, usually when the next move is entirely obvious. At other times I make no move in a diagram. All in all, I've now made 20 moves in the first 17 diagrams, putting me slightly over par :-)

I think it would be interesting to count at the end which players made how many moves for each color :-)

ThorAvaTahr: Common sense (2008-04-16 13:49) [#4621]

I think everyone here can think for themselves and there is no need to apply control measures to limit the frequency of moves by players.

A go player's common sense would allow other people sufficient time to make a move.

Yes. I apologize for starting this rant to whom may have felt approached.
