tderz: This very interesting problem derives from a game of a befriend 2 kyu on DGS.

As in real life - this problem has several stages.

• probably white does not need make another move right now, because white a and b are miai for an eye, the other one being in the corner.
• However , if you imagine an exchange of a for b, then the point c is very interesting, almost problem-like, because it can connect to either d or e (there are several problems like that in the literature), if black had not a weakness at f anyway and there would be a second eye around e.
• Hence, White wants to make a move in that corner for a more important reason, white has his eyes set on the black h16 group (because the white center group has a dead shape).
• Can white find a sequence which - prima facie - kills hat group?
• If Black obviously resists - what could happen next?
• What different results could these "next" be?
