He became a professional in February 2024 in the 157th General Entrance Competition. In the in the quarterfinals of the 5th Leebong Cup, as just a 1p, [ext] Lee had an upset win (2–1) over the [ext] girl prodigy Kim Eunji 9p, only [ext] two years older than he. But in the semifinals, Lee was eliminated (0–2) by his classmate Kang Jae-woo, who is 11 years older and [ext] became a professional at the same time. On 8 April 2024, Lee lost to another girl prodigy Nakamura Sumire, only four months older than he.

As a new professional, he has played only 46 games. He won 28 wins and lost 18, for a 60.87 % win rate.
