Internal liberties

  Difficulty: Beginner   Keywords: Go term

Internal liberties are liberties that are inside a group where eyespace has formed.

Terms that are possibly related or equivalent are Exclusive Liberties and Eye Liberties.

A related concept is the number of effective internal liberties, since due to shape and other considerations, killing a shape might require more internal moves than there are unoccupied internal points.
