He's currently playing in the 2022 Tianyuan, which has just completed its first round. To reach the second round, he achieved two upset victories over better known and higher rated opponents: Chen Yaoye (GR #30) in the preliminaries and Lian Xiao (GR #13) in the first round. ^[1]

As of February 2022, he's just outside the Go Ratings world top fifty.
