The European Professional Go Championship is an EGF tournament

1st European Professional Go Championship was the first professional tournament in Europe, held at Saint-Petersburg in 2016.

• Organizers: EuropeanGoFederation and RussianGoFederation
• Dates: February, 13-14, 2016. 
• Venue: Russia, Saint-Petersburg, Park Inn Radisson Pribaltijskaya
• Participants: European professional Go players (professional status and passport of EGF member are necessary). 
• Prizes: 1st – 1000 Euro, 2nd – 800 Euro, 3rd - 600 Euro, 4th – 500 Euro, 5th – 300 Euro
• 1-3 places will qualify as European representatives for Ing Cup 2016 (2 players) and Chunlan cup (1 player)

• System of the tournament:
  • Round Robin system, 4 rounds
  • Time limit: 50 min + Canadian boyomi 10 min/20 moves
  • Chinese rules, komi 7.5
  • Tiebreaks: SODOS, quickplay additional games

(additional games conditions: 45 min main time, SuddenDeath)

14.02.2016 10-00 – 4th round 13-30 – 5th round 16-30 – additional games (if necessary)
