BQM 47
Eratos: This position stumped me as I was playing black in a recent game on KGS. Is there a way to stop this invasion?
You're probably all thinking "Why didn't white play there earlier?" However, at my level of go, I want to know how I should have played from here. I actually played at a, but now see that wasn't the best move to have made :)
Paul Clarke (2dan): If you do nothing then White will probably continue with a contact move at 'a'. Even after this you might still be able to kill White, but you're way ahead so why take the chance? The simplest thing to do is to forestall White 'a', either by playing 'a' yourself or by playing 1. After this I don't really see much hope for White.
Eratos: Thank you Paul! I guess I played much to close to the invading stone, trying to caputer the stone rather than take away its eye space... I will learn!
