jonathan: displaying kanji in firefox. (2006-12-23 20:28) [#2820]

jfc: When I look at the page in firefox I just see a bunch of ??? where the kanji should be. I've tried changing the browser character encoding but it has no effect.

Perhaps the problem is that I need to install a Windows language pack that has the kanji fonts?

The page shows up okay for me in Firefox 2.0 on Windows XP. I guess you might need to install the Windows language pack, I think they call it either Asian or CJK fonts.

The Chinese, Japanese and Korean characters on SL pages are encoded in the HTML using numeric code entities (i.e. &#xxxx; where xxxx is a number), so these should display in any character encoding as far as I know. Can you view the Chinese Go Terms page correctly?

Hope this helps.
