ilan: The English word "stage" has many translations in French: "etape", "estrade", "diligence", but not the one you used here. The correct term is "workshop".

Tim The actual english term used for similar events is "camp". The translation of "workshop" is "atelier".

Bob McGuigan: In U.S. English "workshop" also has the meaning of a gathering or meeting of people to study, learn or work on some subject. For example: a workshop on global warming.

LaTomate: Actually the word "stage" also means intership (as in a company). I'd personally translate "stage" to "summer camp" and "atelier" to "workshop" in this context, but then that's only my opinion :) I'm going to try and be there next year, since I missed the previous ones. But the people I know who have been there say it's a whole lot of fun, and very instructive too.
