I refer to image 2 and three: Black answering on 3-1 means white can not answer. Black will then kill on 1-1. White might again attack on 2-1 or 2-2 and be killed again by black, making a second eye, black will live and seki was avoided.gubi2000

And you're saying white can't play a next. But instead, white can play b and capture all the black stones.
