erikpan: would there be a similar line for a counter-pincer such as the below? As black I would instinctively do a one-point jump out to a, but is there a better answer? (This appeared in one of my games transposed, when black had the hoshi stone in the top right hand side of the board, relative to the diagram; which probably alters things a bit.)
Dieter: Yes I believe Black a induces White b and next Black c, which means inducing fourth line territory for Black, while all other forces are spread, so than Black has only one weak group to take care of and White two. This is favourable for Black.
